The Moorhead High School band is replacing its 30-year-old marching band uniforms. According to yearbook records, the marching band uniforms have been in the school district since at least 1983. The uniforms include black pants with an orange stripe, a black jacket with Moorhead HS embroidered on the shoulder, an overlay with an “M” on the front, a cape that reads “Spuds,” and a hat. The uniforms were made by DeMoulin.
Thousands of Moorhead High band students will remember wearing these uniforms with the signature cape.
The band department is looking for alumni, theater organizations or citizens who may like a piece of Moorhead High band history. If you are interested in one or more uniforms, contact Pam Redlinger at email@example.com or 218-284-2431. Uniforms are being released for free, but if you need it shipped somewhere, cost is $15 per uniform.
The marching band will welcome new uniforms this August. It will include black “bibber” pants and a jacket with the updated Moorhead logo on the chest. Watch for the Moorhead High School Marching Band in various local parades this fall.
