The Moorhead High School counseling department in conjunction with Minnesota College Goal will host a free financial aid workshop on Monday, Feb. 11. The MSUM Financial Aid Office will give a FAFSA presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Moorhead High auditorium, 2300 4th Ave. S., Moorhead. Afterwards, senior parents/guardians and their students will be invited to the media center computer lab to begin the FAFSA process.
The goal of this evening is to assist students and their parents/guardians in preparing and applying for financial aid. Minnesota College Goal is a statewide volunteer program that provides free assistance to students and families who are applying for financial aid for postsecondary education. Volunteers from local colleges and university will be on hand to assist families.
A $500 educational award is available to any student who participates in a Minnesota College Goal event. The winner will be chosen at random and notified in May. Interested students must complete a FAFSA, a participant survey and an educational award entry form at a Minnesota College Goal event.
