The Moorhead High School Music Department presents its holiday concerts at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21 in the Moorhead High School auditorium, 2300 4th Ave. S., Moorhead.
The Freshman Orchestra, Varsity Choir, Concert Band and Combined Ensembles will perform at 6:30 p.m. The 8 p.m. concert features the Chorale, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Combined Ensembles. Moorhead High School music teachers are Doug Engstrom, Kathie Brekke and Jon Larson.
At the concert, Dr. Lynne Kovash, superintendent for Moorhead Area Public Schools, will present the Grammy Signature Schools Recognition.
The Moorhead High School Music Department was selected as a finalist in the GRAMMY Signature Schools Program, offered through the National Association of Recording Artists and the Recording Academy. This is the 11th consecutive year that the Moorhead High School Music Department has been recognized as one of the top 100 music programs in the nation.
Admission is $2 for adults and free for students and children.
